Playful, colourful and conceptual: the defining attributes of my creative works. My name is Jessica Sanders and I am a graduate in Graphic Design at Billy Blue College of Design. I have had the opportunity to do branding work, as well as creating graphs, typography and visuals in professional reports for a small business. I began my education in fine arts, creating large scale digital photomontages. My major work during this period follows the transformation of a “chameleon” subject within a collaged panoramic image to investigate concepts on identity, metamorphosis and the forming of boundaries. With this basis in photomedia, I started a creative business with two other members, contributing my photographic and graphic skills. I then went on to work on my own as a freelance photographer to produce images for events, weddings and material for commercial use. Although my background is in fine arts, my direction is firmly within the design industry where my creativity is flourishing in new and exciting ways.
